It's quite seldom that we showcase hockey here, but after a coworker sent me this gem, it had to be available for our common public.
In hockey the term "enforcer" is reserved for the best of the best. No, not the skill goal scorers, not the Kovy-like danglers, and not the butterfly king goalies - the term enforcer is held in a special place until one man can prove he can super crush like no other.
Take Zdeno Chara, the 6'9 Slovak who literally kills people. With skates on the guy towers over 7'0 and can still shoot a puck over 155 miles per hour.
Take a look at the video below from last night. Does Chara live up to the gracious and respectable name of Enforcer, or is he zumkinda dirtbag? You decide

Hate it or Love it
Been a while since a new post, so I figured now would be good time. The reason? Because Love is in the air. In the air a lot. Tipping in misses, grabbing boards, and hitting free throws. That seems to be the way around the NBA these days, especially for mountain-man Kevin Love, who last night broke the record for longest consecutive games with a double-double at 51, formerly held by Moses Malone.
The 260 lb. second year pro out of UCLA is terrorizing the glass on both ends. It is quite unfortunate to see the all-star power forward without any help around him. The Timberwolves make DePaul basketball look good. Well, his handshaking skills can use some work..
What do these numbers mean? Is it still impressive to statistically shine even though your team has only won 15 games all season? Of course it is. To be able to do anything 51 times in a row is impressive, let alone grabbing double digit rebounds and putting away double digit points against the likes of Bynum, Duncan, and Chandler.
But the real question is: why does he grab so many rebounds?
Easy, Love's uncle, Mike, is a singer in The Beach Boys and brother of Love's father, Stan. Mike and Stan's cousins include The Beach Boys' Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson. Love's aunt, Kathleen McCartney Hearst, was an accomplished triathlete. Love has an older brother, Collin, and a younger sister, Emily. Its all about the music.
